Acceptable Use Policy

AllNett · Pridam Investment Ghana Ltd · Last updated: 30 July 2026

This policy applies to everyone who sends messages or traffic through AllNett — bulk SMS customers, OTP/verification API users, resellers, agents and USSD extension lessees. It is part of our Terms & Conditions. Its purpose is plain: keep Ghanaian phone users free from spam and fraud, and keep our routes to MTN, Telecel and AT healthy for the businesses that use them properly.

1. The core rules for messaging

  1. You may only send messages to recipients who have consented to receive them.
  2. Spam, fraud, phishing and any unlawful content are strictly prohibited and lead to immediate account suspension.
  3. Sender IDs must truthfully identify you or your business and are subject to approval.
  4. SMS credits are prepaid and non-transferable. Credits are only consumed for messages actually submitted to the networks.
  5. You are responsible for the content of every message sent from your account.
  6. We may suspend accounts that violate this policy or applicable law, including Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and National Communications Authority regulations.
  7. Delivery depends on the mobile networks; delivery times are not guaranteed.

2. Consent

Consent means the recipient gave you their number for this purpose and would not be surprised to hear from you — a customer who signed up, bought from you, or opted in on a form. Consent is not:

You must be able to show, on request, where and when a recipient consented. We may ask, and we may suspend sending until you can.

3. Opt-outs

Marketing messages must give a clear way to stop — typically "Reply STOP" or a named contact. Honour every opt-out promptly and permanently, and keep an opt-out list across your campaigns. Never message an opted-out number again from any sender ID.

Transactional messages the recipient needs (one-time codes, receipts, delivery or appointment notices, service outages) do not need an opt-out — but they must be genuinely transactional. Marketing dressed up as a notification is a violation.

4. Sender IDs

5. Prohibited content and traffic

You must not send, or route through AllNett:

6. Platform integrity

7. Data protection duties

When you upload recipient lists to AllNett, you are the data controller for that personal data and we process it on your instructions to deliver your messages. You must have a lawful basis for holding the numbers, tell recipients how you use their data, keep lists accurate and no larger than needed, and delete lists you no longer need. Do not upload special-category data (health, religion, political affiliation, financial detail) in message content that does not require it. Our own handling of this data is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Timing and volume courtesy

Send marketing at reasonable hours — we recommend 08:00–20:00 GMT. Avoid repeat marketing to the same recipient in a short window. Tell us in advance about unusually large campaigns so we can provision capacity and avoid your traffic looking like an attack.

9. USSD extension lessees

If you run a service on a leased extension, your menus must clearly identify your business, must not imply the service is operated or guaranteed by AllNett or a network, must never collect a user's mobile-money PIN or an AllNett PIN, and must comply with all approvals your own sector requires. Session abuse, misleading flows and unlicensed financial activity result in immediate suspension.

10. Enforcement

We monitor for abuse patterns and we act on network, regulator and recipient complaints. Depending on severity we may:

Credits spent on violating traffic are not refunded, and you remain liable for fines or charges a network or regulator imposes on us because of your traffic. Suspension decisions can be appealed by writing to support@allnett.net with an explanation and the corrective steps you have taken.

11. Report abuse

Received a scam, spam or impersonating message through our platform? Report it to support@allnett.net with the sender ID, the message text and the date and time. Reports are investigated and we act on abusive senders. Remember: AllNett will never ask you for your PIN, your one-time code or your mobile-money PIN.
